The Bellingen Youth Orchestra flagship orchestra will be joined in concert by the BYO Sinfonia and their patron, renowned pianist David Helfgott. The Orchestra proudly works with David to inspire new generations of musicians in their shared love of music.
This concert, in collaboration with Bellingen Muse, will include works by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Andrew Loyd Webber and Gustav Holst.
The Bellingen Youth Orchestra was founded in 2007 and performs under the baton of Artistic Director Annie Phelan. A dynamic and growing orchestra, they regularly collaborate with local and visiting musicians to showcase the many talents of young musicians in the Bellinger valley.
With combined ensembles of over 120 players, the BYO is a place of learning and inspiration, building musical relationships and mentoring opportunities from their youngest players in the BYO String School and the BYO Wind School to the advanced players of the Sinfonia string ensemble.
