Café Tango brings a sultry fusion of contemporary classical finesse and Latin flair to Bellingen, courtesy of Sydney’s musical mavericks Ensemble Offspring.

This vibrant program features Astor Piazzolla’s iconic Histoires du Tango and Libertango as well as the lesser known Mumuki, alongside bold contemporary works by Australian composers.

Followed by the rhythmic punch of Holly Harrison’s Swivel and Swerve, each piece brims with syncopated latin beats. Nicole Murphy’s lyrical Exchange and Elena Kats-Chernin's Violet's Etude (written for percussionist Claire Edwardes OAM) round out this eclectic set.

Performed on piano, marimba, saxophone and flute, Café Tango offers an unforgettable evening of passionate grooves and virtuosic energy.

For this concert the Ensemble Offspring players will be;
Claire Edwardes
Lamorna Nightingale
Jean-Bernard Marie
Alice Morgan
